The collaboration grows! ENGAGE.EU Welcomes Two New Partners Into European University Alliance
Hanken School of Economics and Ramon Llull University join the European University Alliance
The European University alliance ENGAGE.EU is delighted to welcome two new partners: Hanken School of Economics, Helsinki and Ramon Llull University, Barcelona. This expansion aligns with the core values of ENGAGE.EU – to provide European citizens with the set of skills and competences needed to tackle major societal challenges.
Through the joining of two new partner institutions, the alliance will be enriched by a broader geographical spread, new collaboration possibilities for teaching and researching, as well as providing an even more exciting offer to its student community. ENGAGE.EU partner institutions will continue to put their joint research and teaching efforts into providing solutions and guidance addressing existing and new challenges such as climate change, ageing societies, migration, and digitalisation. Hanken School of Economics and Ramon Llull University will strengthen and widen the endeavour to make an impact and find solutions to these challenging issues facing Europe now and in years to come.
Hanken School of Economics has a long tradition as a leading university in economics and business administration. Joining ENGAGE.EU will further strengthen Hanken’s international focus: it already attracts researchers and students from all over Europe and the world. The university is research driven and prides itself in strong connections to the business industry. This practical approach aligns with ENGAGE.EU’s vision of societal outreach and collaboration with industry partners.
Ramon Llull University, located in Barcelona, comprises 9 prestigious institutions made up of 12 schools, 3 research institutes, and 1 affiliated centre, all with long standing traditions in research and teaching. With a clearly international vocation, every year its university community is represented by more than 100 nationalities, from all continents. This new partner not only will fit in well with ENGAGE.EU’s focus on business, economics, and social sciences, but will also bring in new perspectives in the fields of bioethics, bioengineering and mental health, among others.
ENGAGE.EU will welcome the new partners with a celebration ceremony at a joint meeting in Sofia in May 2022.
