The ENGAGE.EU Governing Board Met in Helsinki to Shape the Alliance's Future

The members of the ENGAGE.EU Governing Board met at Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki on 22-23 April for its Spring meeting.

During the meeting, the members had the opportunity to meet with Tine Delva, Deputy Head of Unit, Higher Education; Director-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture, to discuss current policy developments in higher education and the European Universities initiative. Ilkka Niemelä, rector of Aalto University, member of the European University alliance Unite!, also participated in the meeting to jointly discuss the value created and best practices of our alliances.

The members of the Governing Board also received updates on current developments of the Lighthouses, i.e. the ENGAGE.EU Joint Programmes, the ENGAGE.EU PhD Programme and the ENGAGE.EU Labs. Finally, a fruitful discussion on synergies between ENGAGE.EU and the SwafS project ENGAGE.EU R&I took place.
