UNWE Sofia won both ENGAGE.EU sports challenges
Along with the education and academic opportunities for its learners and staff, the ENGAGE.EU Alliance offered two sports challenges in the past two months.
The University of National and World Economy from Sofia, Bulgaria won the first ever ENGAGE.EU Games organized by Université Toulouse 1 Capitole from France. The challenge included three sporting activities – football (head passes), basketball (3 point shots) and fitness (push-ups).
Also, the second edition of the ENGAGE.EU Speed chess tournament took place and the winner again is UNWE Sofia – the host of the challenge. Luiss Guido Carli University from Rome, Italy was second and the University of Mannheim, Germany finished third. In the individual rankings the three best participants were Petar Todorov, Nikolay Boshnakov and Kostadin Vachev.
During the ENGAGE.EU Expansion event in Sofia the trophies were given to the winners. We are now expecting more sporting challenges from the ENGAGE.EU partner universities.
