ENGAGE.EU Think Tank 2024: A Week of Successful Research Exchanges
Close to 30 researchers took part in the third installment of the ENGAGE.EU Think Tank, hosted by NHH. The event aimed to facilitate research collaboration on the topic of sustainable value creation.
The ENGAGE.EU R&I Think Tank, organized within the ENGAGE.EU R&I project, is an initiative aimed at fostering research collaboration among the nine ENGAGE.EU R&I partners. Participants from a wide variety of disciplines met in Bergen, Norway, for an intense week to engage in stimulating discussions, workshops, and networking sessions, laying the groundwork for future collaborations.
Aksel Mjøs, Head of the Department of Finance and one of the organizers from NHH, is happy with the outcome of the event: “The ENGAGE.EU Think Tank 2024 has been a great opportunity for researchers to come together and explore potential synergies across disciplines and institutions. The exchanges we’ve had and the discussions we’ve engaged in have been inspiring for research development, and paving the way for new partnerships that hold the promise of advancing research on sustainability challenges.”
A diverse range of topics was covered during the Think Tank, and participating researchers appreciated the insights shared by NHH faculty, industry partners and keynote speaker Ioannis Ioannou from London Business School. The researchers in the Think Tank are also enthusiastic about continuing conversations and initiating joint research projects after the event.
One of the participants, Elfriede Penz from WU Vienna, expressed her gratitude for the collaborative spirit of the event: “I really enjoyed the ENGAGE.EU Think Tank 2024. It was a valuable experience to work with colleagues from different disciplines and countries who share a common interest in sustainable value creation. I learned a lot from the presentations and the feedback sessions, and I look forward to continuing our joint research efforts.”
Following the successful completion of the ENGAGE.EU Think Tank 2024, researchers throughout the alliance can look forward to future opportunities to connect with colleagues from ENGAGE.EU partners.
