New Teaching Initiatives Awarded Seed Funding

Six innovative teaching projects receive support to enhance collaboration and drive educational innovation across ENGAGE.EU partner universities.

The ENGAGE.EU Academic Initiative Incubator has selected six pioneering teaching and learning initiatives to receive seed funding under the 2025 call. The initiatives were chosen for their strong alignment with the alliance’s mission to foster innovative, collaborative, and internationally oriented education across partner universities.

The 2025 seed funding call attracted eight high-quality applications involving nine partner institutions, plus associate partner University of St. Gallen. After a competitive evaluation process, six initiatives were selected for funding, with a total budget of EUR 50,000 distributed among them.

The selected initiatives span a range of academic fields and formats, from micro-learning and intercultural communication to mental health, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and the future of work. All initiatives involve at least three partner institutions in both development and delivery and have the potential to reach 50 students or more.

The proposals were assessed by a panel of expert academic reviewers from across the alliance. The selected projects reflect the diversity and creativity of educational collaboration across the alliance and demonstrate the potential to scale and evolve in the coming years.
