It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Josep Rom, Rector of Ramon Llull University and Vice-Chair of the ENGAGE.EU Governing Board.

 

Josep was an exceptional leader whose genuine commitment to our alliance was evident in everything he did. Those who had the privilege of working alongside him will remember not just his professional excellence, but the warmth, integrity, and generosity of spirit he brought to every interaction.

 

Josep’s humanity, his kind leadership, and his unwavering dedication to our shared mission leave an indelible mark on ENGAGE.EU. We have lost not only an outstanding rector and devoted colleague, but a truly remarkable human being.

 

Our deepest condolences go to his family, to our partners at Ramon Llull University, and to all who knew and admired him. His memory will continue to inspire us as we carry forward the work to which he was so deeply committed.
