UT Capitole welcomed esteemed ENGAGE.EU members at Conseil d’administration

On December 9th, 2025, UT Capitole had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Jordi Teixidó i Closa, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation at Ramon Llull University, and Dr. Cornelia Ruhe, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs at the University of Mannheim, for a meeting of its Conseil d’administration.
Held four times per academic year, the Conseil d’administration is the highest governing body of UT Capitole, responsible for defining the university’s strategic direction, overseeing institutional policies, and ensuring effective leadership.
Both Vice-Rectors are permanent members of the Conseil and hold voting rights. Each is also supported by a designated substitute voter: Dr. Malin Arve (NHH) for Dr. Ruhe and Dr. Daniele Gallo (Luiss) for Dr. Teixidó i Closa.
Together, they bring the active participation of four ENGAGE.EU partner universities into UT Capitole’s governance.
Following the most recent Conseil d’administration in December, Dr. Teixidó i Closa and Dr. Ruhe were kind enough to share their perspectives on how, in their point of view, closer ties between governance bodies of ENGAGE.EU universities help contribute to the success of our alliance.
Here’s what they had to say:
“From my perspective, closer ties between the governance bodies of ENGAGE.EU universities are essential to the alliance’s success. By aligning strategic visions, sharing best practices, and coordinating decision-making, we build a more agile and impactful European university network capable of addressing societal challenges through joint research, innovation, and education. As a new member of the Conseil d’administration representing Universitat Ramon Llull, I am honoured to contribute to this shared governance and to strengthen the bonds that drive our collective efforts forward.” — Jordi Teixidó, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Universitat Ramon Llull; Member of the Conseil d’administration
“In my view, closer cooperation between the governance bodies of ENGAGE.EU universities creates trust, coherence, and a shared strategic direction that is essential for the alliance’s long-term success. Regular exchange at governance level supports the effective implementation of joint initiatives across partner universities. In this context, my membership in the Conseil d’administration of Toulouse Capitole University provides an opportunity to contribute to strategic coordination at the alliance level and to reinforce the governance structures that sustain ENGAGE.EU as a strong and forward-looking European university alliance.” – Cornelia Ruhe, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Universität Mannheim; Member of the Conseil d’administration.
UT Capitole expresses its sincere appreciation to both vice-rectors, Dr. Teixidó i Closa and Dr. Ruhe, as well as to their designated substitute voters, Dr. Arve and Dr. Gallo, for their ongoing collaboration. These exchanges highlight the central role of strong, connected governance in reinforcing shared ambitions and ensuring the long-term success of ENGAGE.EU.
