From 2 to 13 February 2026, WU Vienna welcomed 31 students from across the ENGAGE.EU alliance as well as the partner university UTDT (University Torcuato di Tella, Argentina) for this year’s ENGAGE.EU Winter School on Responsible Entrepreneurship. Following a virtual kick-off in mid-January, participants came together on campus for an intensive two-week programme combining academic depth with rich intercultural experiences.

The academic curriculum offered a comprehensive exploration of responsible, social, sustainable, and impact-driven entrepreneurship. Lecturers from WU, UTDT, NHH (Norwegian School of Economics) and URL (Ramon Llull University) guided students through interactive lectures, workshops, and venture development sessions. Throughout the programme, participants worked in international teams to develop and pitch their own impact venture ideas, applying tools such as the Business Model Canvas and the Entrepreneurial Sustainability Canvas.

Alongside the academic programme, the Winter School provided a vibrant schedule of social and cultural activities. Students enjoyed a Vienna city tour, an intercultural evening, a traditional Viennese waltz class, and numerous shared networking opportunities on campus. These moments fostered strong connections across universities, disciplines, and cultures – an experience highlighted by many as one of the most memorable aspects of the programme.

Participants describe the Winter School at WU as a unique opportunity to gain new perspectives, build friendships, and experience hands-on learning in an international environment.
