What does it take to build a digital infrastructure that truly serves ENGAGE.EU? To explore this question raised by the Alliance’s governing bodies, representatives from IT, Learning, Research and Outreach from all ENGAGE.EU partners came together for a hands-on workshop in Mannheim in May 2026.

Over three days, participants mapped current needs and challenges, discussed possible future requirements, and explored different scenarios for the development of the Alliance’s digital infrastructure. The workshop highlighted the importance of coherence, collaboration and a focus on what actually matters to the people who use the systems every day. Its outcomes will feed into ongoing discussions within ENGAGE.EU and provide recommendations to make our shared digital ecosystem more connected, more accessible, and better governed — ready to support the Alliance’s ambitions through 2029 and beyond.
