Digital Humanism: The Human Advantage in an AI-Driven World
Professional development | Online | Interactive
Digital technologies and artificial intelligence are already changing the way we consume, interact, do business and engage with media and politics. As a result, individuals, organizations and society are confronted with important questions about the potential and challenges of this digitally and AI-driven transformation. Digital Humanism provides a framework for addressing many of these questions. Originating from the work of Julian Rümelin and Hannes Werthner, and reflected in the Vienna Manifesto and the EU Digital Rights Charter, it places human values, rights and well-being at the center of technological development and digital transformation.
The programme introduces participants to Digital Humanism in theory and practice. Through lectures, case studies, simulations and personal experience, participants will explore how digital and AI-driven transformation can be shaped responsibly in business, administration and civil society.

Call for Teaching: Future Literacy Seminar Series at the University of Mannheim
Professional development | Online | Certificate
Online workshop – University of Mannheim
Our ideas and thoughts about the future have a significant influence on how we think and act today. However, this connection often goes unnoticed. Trends, social narratives, and personal experiences shape the way we imagine tomorrow, which often leads to the notion of a predetermined or even inevitable future. Yet, the future is not a fixed destination but a realm of possibilities rooted in our own imagination. The capability to harness this imagination to design divergent futures is known as Futures Literacy. By imagining various possible futures, we gain insights that enable us to make more informed decisions in the present, even in uncertain and complex circumstances.
Application deadline: 30 September 2026
